Uncomfortable baked goods: disadvantages and advantages

The main difference between baking is the presence of butter, eggs, milk in the dough. These ingredients make the baked goods more tender and airy, and their taste - rich. Buns, cookies and pies look very impressive; these are the products that are most often prepared for the holidays. A significant disadvantage is high calorie content.

Butter dough is usually sweet, it is supplemented with appropriate fillings: fruits and berries, chocolate, candied fruits, dried fruits, sugar icing. However, this dough is also suitable for savory pies: fish, meat, vegetable.

Uncooked dough turns out to be denser, the taste of finished products is not too bright. But such baked goods are less high in calories and more healthy. Instead of milk, water is added, butter is replaced with vegetable oil. Such products are suitable for people who are fasting, suffer from intolerance to certain foods, or simply do not want to gain weight. To make the taste of pies, cookies or bread more interesting, fruit puree is added to the dough, and they are experimenting with fillings.

Traditional recipe suitable for fasting. Better to use aromatic sweet and sour apples of late varieties. Cinnamon and sugar are added to taste. If the fruits are very juicy, after cutting them it is better to mix them with starch, then the delicious syrup will not flow out during baking.

Ingredients:

  • 200 g wheat flour;
  • 2 tbsp. l. Sahara;
  • 70 ml of ice water;
  • 120 ml of refined vegetable oil;
  • 1 tsp baking powder;
  • a pinch of salt.

For filling:

  • 4 medium sized apples;
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon;
  • 150 g sugar;
  • 2 tbsp. l. flour.

Combine dry ingredients, heap them onto a cutting board. Make a depression at the top, pour ice water mixed with vegetable oil into it. Quickly knead a homogeneous dough, divide it into 2 parts, wrap them in cling film and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Peel and core the apples. Cut the fruit into thin slices, mix with sugar and flour. Cover a round baking dish with oiled paper, lay out half of the dough, having previously rolled it into a layer. Form sides along the edges.

Lay out the filling in an even layer, cover it with a second layer of dough. Pinch the edges carefully and place the dish in an oven preheated to 100 degrees. The cake will be ready in an hour. It can be cut into pieces directly in the mold, after cooling and sprinkling with powdered sugar.

Yeast Pie with Cabbage

Hearty, but not too high-calorie pie, which is quite a substitute for dinner. It can be served cold or warm.

Ingredients:

  • 30 g yeast;
  • 1 glass of warm water;
  • 4 cups wheat flour;
  • 2 tbsp. l. Sahara;
  • 0.5 tsp salt;
  • 4 tbsp. l. odorless vegetable oil;
  • 400 g of fresh white cabbage;
  • black pepper to taste.

Prepare the filling by cutting the cabbage into small squares and stewing until soft in the remaining vegetable oil. Let the cabbage cool slightly, sprinkle with black pepper.
