Every vehicle needs fuel. After buying a new "iron horse", many car owners think about how to "drink" it. Of course, everyone knows what gas stations, gasoline and diesel are. But in different cars, gas tanks open differently.

Instructions
Step 1
The most common option for opening the gas tank hatch is found on foreign-made cars. Find the lever with the fuel pump symbol. For left-hand drive vehicles, it is located on the door sill on the left side of the driver's seat. For a car with a right-hand drive, it is the same on the right side.
Step 2
Pull the lever up. There will be a click and the gas cap will open. To close the hatch after the car has been refueled, simply push the hatch firmly against the body of the car.
Step 3
In some cases, in foreign cars, the gas tank hatch opens with a button. It can be located in various places in the car. Most often this is the driver's door or on the dashboard. The button is also marked with a dispenser symbol. It is easy enough to press the button to open the gas tank.
Step 4
Also, in some foreign cars and in all domestic brands, the fuel tank cap is opened manually. To do this, pull the cover towards you by grasping the recess on it. In isolated cases, the gas tank flap does not look like a regular cap, but like a twist-off neck. This is most often seen in sports cars.
Step 5
When entering a petrol station, pay attention to the fact that the petrol hatch can be located both on the right and on the left side of the car body. After your "iron horse" is fueled, do not forget to screw the fuel filler neck and close the gas cap tightly.
