Instructions
Step 1
In the event of a malfunction of the water pump, it must be preliminarily dismantled from the engine.
Step 2
Having placed the pump on a workbench, and carefully gripping the water pump in a vice, a gear pulley is removed from it using a universal puller.
Step 3
After that, a locking screw is unscrewed from the pump housing with a screwdriver, which fixes the roller with bearings from spontaneous movement.
Step 4
Then, with hammer blows through a mandrel made of non-ferrous metal, it is necessary to knock out the pump shaft with all its contents from the housing: bearings, oil seal, impeller.
Step 5
Having fixed the roller in a locksmith's vice, the impeller is removed from it with a universal puller, after which it becomes possible to dismantle the sealing gland, which must be removed, regardless of its technical condition.
Step 6
If the bearings of the water pump stick or make noise during rotation, then the roller with bearings is replaced with a new one.
Step 7
At the first stage of assembling the pump, a sealing gland is inserted into its body, and then a roller with bearings and an impeller is installed, which is fixed with a locking screw.
Step 8
At the last stage, a toothed pulley is installed on the front end of the roller, through which the pump is driven.
