The aerodynamic body kit is designed to give the car a sporty, daring look and to improve its handling and behavior at high speeds. The body kit of the front bumper serves to ensure that the air flow presses the front of the car, the body kit of the sills removes lateral turbulence and protects them from corrosion, the body kit of the rear bumper is designed to eliminate the air currents behind the car, which are trying to tear the rear of the car off the road. Body kits on the VAZ begin to work only at a speed of about 120 km / h.

Instructions

Step 1

Right on the car, start sculpting your future body kit, for example, a bumper. It is better to do this from plasticine, using wire to maintain its shape. Make sure that the resulting structure can be easily removed.

Step 2

Try to keep everything perfect, otherwise there will be a lot of fuss on the finished layout. Prepare recesses for air intakes and additional headlights and other elements in advance if you want to make them.

Step 3

Prepare a wooden box for your design by providing support for the layout. Then make a plaster mix, which you pour into the box, in which the bumper is already hanging on the supports. Now be patient and wait for the structure to dry.

Step 4

After the structure has dried, take out the plasticine mold and you have a plaster cavity in your hands, in which you drill thin holes for air exhaust. Spread it with cream or petroleum jelly and lay out with fiberglass. After laying out about 1.5 - 2 mm, lay everything with a fine mesh, and then again 1 - 1.5 mm of fiberglass.

Step 5

The finished bumper should dry thoroughly and harden. After that, take it out of the mold and carefully cut off the excess, sand the bumps and protrusions, and then hang the structure on the car, finally adjusting everything in place.
