Before driving uphill, learn how to work with a handbrake. A simple exercise will help you with this. Try doing the acceleration-deceleration exercise with the hand brake. You need to understand and feel at what moment the parking brake is lowered, the car starts to move. Try to prevent the car from starting abruptly and skidding.

On a hill, this maneuver is performed in a slightly accelerated version so that there is no rollback. To do this, you need to give more gas than usual. In order for the car to rise upward as if with a jerk, especially on a steep slope. But in any case, do not let go of the handbrake to the end if the car does not move confidently. If you feel that there is not enough gas, it is better to pull the handbrake up a little.
Step 3
On a slippery slope, act as carefully as possible, even if you climb longer than usual, because there is a possibility of skidding or drifting. And if there is insufficient upward thrust, the car will simply roll backward. To avoid these troubles, lock the machine on an incline with the hand brake and hold the brake pedal. Start driving slowly, make sure that the car body does not drift to the side. To do this, hold the steering wheel more firmly in a straight position.

If the car starts to skid or drift, slow down gently so as not to aggravate the process. Crank the steering wheel straight and try to start driving.
