Arriving at the overpass is the most difficult element of passing the exam in the traffic police on the site. For its successful passage, several components are necessary - your ability to work with a hand brake and gas, and the serviceability of a training car.

Step 1
How is the passing of the examination element "overpass". You have to drive up to the overpass, which is something like a lift, stop at a short distance. After that, turn on the first speed and drive off, drive up the hill, stop, put the car on the handbrake, without switching the speed to neutral. Then move off with a minimum rollback of the car back, drive to the upper platform and stop. After stopping, turn on the first speed and leave the overpass, controlling the speed by braking.
Step 2
What difficulties may lie in wait for the student in this element. The most important thing for passing the exam is not to slip when trying to move up the hill. To do this, it is necessary to tighten the handbrake strongly, which very often either does not work on training machines, or is so tight that you have to pull it with both hands. Do not hesitate to do this, and if the handbrake is not working properly, inform the inspector taking the exam in advance.
Step 3
When you come to a stop on an incline, hold the foot brake until the machine locks into position with the handbrake. Then release the pedal smoothly. You do not need to simultaneously release the pedal and tighten the handbrake, you do not yet know its capabilities.
Step 4
For subsequent lifting, begin to smoothly press the gas, increasing the revs of the machine. At this moment, slowly lower the handbrake down. If you feel that the revolutions are not enough, turn the handbrake up. Otherwise, the machine may roll back. As soon as you feel that when the revs are dialed and the handbrake is slightly lowered down, the car seems to begin to pull forward, slightly turn on the gas and lower the handbrake. The car must move. Watch the tachometer. For all cars, the number of required revolutions is individual. Someone just needs to tell a little. Some cars are high-speed, and for lifting they may need an indicator of up to 5, 5-6 thousand rpm.
