Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the necessary tools: screwdrivers, a soldering iron with solder, wires and LEDs of the color you want to see on the dashboard. After that, remove the speedometer panel by unscrewing the bolts that hold it, and then those that attach the speedometer directly. Disconnect all electrical connectors and wires that connect to the panel to be removed.

Step 2

After that, you need to prepare the dashboard for work. Unscrew the bolts to remove the front trim, then detach all instruments to leave only the plastic frame. Carefully cut off any excess parts to make room for the diodes.

Step 3

Cut out a form from the material at hand, into which it is convenient to solder diodes. Plastic packaging for regular discs works well for this. After that, take the purchased LEDs and carefully cut off the top from them using a grinder. This is necessary in order to make scattering devices from directional diodes. Solder the diodes into the mold by connecting them in parallel. Leave the two ends of the wires to connect to the lamp terminals in the proper place.

Step 4

In order to make the arrows highlight, you will have to make maximum imagination and effort. Try placing red LEDs under the arrows. If you can't do this, then with the help of fluorescent paint and a brush, give them a new look. In order for the paint to perform its function, install a UV LED panel in the top wall. When connecting them, do not forget to install resistors.

Step 5

After the work done, connect the dashboard connectors, turn on the ignition and check the performance of the assembled structure. If everything is in order, then turn off the engine and reinstall the speedometer in its place in the reverse order.
