- 17 mm socket wrench,
- new alternator belt.

Step 1
In addition, signs such as cracks in the belt surface, excessive stretching and the associated tension problem of the alternator belt are the reason for replacing the alternator belt.
Step 2
In the event that the car owner decided to change the alternator belt on his own, then this procedure is performed according to the following scheme:
- on a muffled engine, the hood rises, - with a 17 mm socket wrench, loosen the nut fastening the generator to the tension bar, - the generator is moved as close as possible to the engine,
- the worn out alternator belt is removed and removed, - a new belt is installed instead, - the alternator belt is tensioned, - the generator is fixed on the tensioning bar, by tightening, loosening the wound, nut, with a 17 mm wrench.
Step 3
The alternator belt is considered properly tensioned when, when pressing on it with a hand from above, with a force of three to four kg, it deflects no more than one centimeter.
