Before changing the direction of your movement to the exact opposite, that is, turning around, you must make sure that this is allowed in the place you choose. To do this, pay attention to the signs and road markings. There are signs that show that you can turn around in this particular place. But it is also worth looking at the signs on which the spread is not drawn, but it is quite allowed to execute it.
Instructions
Step 1
When driving on a highway or on a median road, you may come across a sign showing you where to turn around. It is called the "U-turn". Most often, such jumpers between traffic flows are made in pairs: first, you will pass the section along which oncoming cars are turning, and then you will see a sign for you - 6.3.1. In most cases, such a headland only has one lane, so you need to stick to the left shoulder.
Step 2
There is another sign on which the spread itself is drawn. It indicates not only the place where you can turn, but the extent of this zone. In the rules, this sign has the number 6.3.2. In this situation, this section of the road may have two or even more lanes. You need to be careful when driving in the leftmost lane in this situation. Those who are driving to the right of you have an advantage in relation to you, that is, you must skip them. If you are driving fast or do not like to give up, take the right-most trajectory.
Step 3
You can also make a U-turn if there are any signs that allow you to turn to the left. These can be prescriptive signs: a blue circle with a white arrow indicating the direction of travel. For example, it can be sign 4.1.3, which shows you only two options for further movement: to the left and back.
Step 4
If you see sign 4.1.5 on the side of the road, then you can go in the indicated directions or make a U-turn.
Step 5
Sign 4.1.6 prevents you from going straight. But you don't have to turn. Nobody limits you in your desire to turn around and leave in the direction from which you came. The above signs act at the intersection in front of which you saw them.
Step 6
In addition to the circular signs on a blue background, you should also pay attention to the lane direction signs before making a U-turn. Such signs are square or rectangular. White arrows are drawn on the blue background to show you in which direction you can drive in the selected lane. The principle is the same as with the prescriptive signs: if a left turn is allowed, then a U-turn can also be made. Moreover, if the sign allows you to turn to the left from the second lane, then the U-turn can be performed only from the leftmost row.
