One of the options for tuning a car is to replace the muffler from a conventional muffler to a direct-flow muffler. This increases the engine power by 5-7% and also makes the sound of the engine running either louder or quieter. You can do the forward flow with your own hands.
It is necessary
- - a set of keys from 13 to 19
- - flat and Phillips screwdriver
- - a hammer
- - stainless pipe
- - drill and drill set
- - heat-resistant sealant
- - glass wool
- - grinder
- - electric or gas welding
Instructions
Step 1
Drive the vehicle onto a viewing hole or lift. Stop the engine. Wait for the engine to cool down.
Step 2
Remove the old muffler using a set of wrenches, screwdriver and hammer. Carefully cut off the muffler cover with a grinder. Remove and discard all internal parts and muffler baffles.
Step 3
Drill many holes with a diameter of 5-7 mm in a stainless pipe of a suitable size. Place this pipe inside the resulting muffler barrel.
Step 4
Place glass wool tightly around the entire muffler. Wrap the tube with a piece of asbestos. Close the muffler cover and weld it. Seal all joints with heat-resistant sealant.
Step 5
Reinstall the resulting forward flow in reverse order.
