Parking remains the most difficult part of driving a car for many. In fact, if you understand the tricks and basic rules, then reversing is not such a difficult task.

Instructions

Step 1

Reverse drive.

To park in reverse into a garage or between two cars, drive slightly forward. The rear bumper of your car should be flush with the hood of the other car or with the wall of the garage. If you maneuver from left to back, then the steering wheel also needs to be turned to the left. Reverse slowly and look in the mirrors. At the beginning of the movement, you will not see a car or an obstacle standing to your right. This means that you should orientate more towards the left side. As soon as the car starts to turn back, the desired view will appear in the right mirror, and then you need to navigate by two mirrors at the same time. Maintain the minimum speed, no need to make unnecessary and chaotic steering movements. The machine itself will choose the necessary trajectory of movement, you will only help it. If you drove in and saw that you pressed more against one edge, level the car. Let's say you pressed more to the right side. Drive forward, turn the steering wheel to the left and then to the right. This will place the car at the same distance. Try to drive backwards again.

Step 2

Parallel parking.

Parallel parking is carried out along the curb from the carriageway. Find a place along the road, the length of which allows you to park the car + 2 meters for the exit. Park the car slightly obliquely along the road. The rear bumper of your vehicle should be in line with the rear of an obstacle or other vehicle. You will enter from the road from left to right. To do this, turn on the reverse speed and, turning the steering wheel to the right, drive the car at an angle to the curb. In the mirror, you have to watch the curb. Keep an eye on the front of your car as it makes a turn. Approaching the rear right wheel to the curb with a short distance, begin to actively work the steering wheel in the opposite direction. The car will begin to move along the curb, driving the front end.

Step 3

Diagonal parking.

Parking lots near shopping centers have oblique diagonal markings. It is convenient to park on such markings when driving in front. But when leaving, you need to watch and let passing cars pass by. You need to leave along the trajectory of the arrival, carefully following the turn of the hood.
