The correct gas setting on VAZ cars can be done on your own. To do this, it is necessary to understand the principles of functioning of the components of the equipment and clearly observe a certain sequence of actions.
Instructions
Step 1
Before adjusting the gas cylinder equipment, check the condition of the engine components, spark plugs, wiring, and the tightness of the path. Measure the compression in the cylinders - the indicator should be equal to 6.5 kgf / cm2.
Step 2
Start the engine, having previously set the gas regulator to the "Petrol" mode. Warm up the engine to operating temperature. Set idle speed to 800 rpm. Place the gearbox in neutral.
Step 3
If the system has a one-piece dispenser, unscrew it to the maximum. After screwing in the idle screw all the way, turn it five turns in the opposite direction. With a system of two sections, turn the first to the maximum, the second to the minimum.
Step 4
Set the button to the "Gas" position. Start the engine. Use the choke to set the speed to 1500-1700 rpm. To ensure reliable operation of the motor with the suction off, "drown" the adjustment knob to the end.
Step 5
Adjust the sensitivity of the gas reducer. To do this, carefully remove the corresponding bolt. When this circumstance ceases to affect the idle speed, screw it back two turns.
Step 6
Press down on the gas accelerator briskly to check the adjustment of the LPG equipment. The throttle response of the motor must be powerful.
Step 7
To determine the threshold at which the RPM starts to change, adjust the metering screw. Then unscrew it half a turn. Similarly, the adjustment of the first chamber of the two-section dispenser is carried out. When adjusting the second chamber, the position of the screw must be retracted by a quarter of a turn.
Step 8
Ask a friend to help you. Its task is to press the gas pedal until the engine speed is set at 3200-3700. At this time, you must tighten the adjustment screw a quarter turn. This operation should be repeated until dips appear. When possible, back out the screw half a turn.
