If a part purchased from a car shop does not fit the car or has a defect, it can be returned to the seller under certain conditions. The conditions for returning goods are determined by the Consumer Protection Law.

Instructions

Step 1

Ask a service station for a copy of the workshop certificate and a certificate that the purchased part is defective or simply does not fit the car.

Step 2

Contact the dealer of the auto shop, presenting the receipt for the purchase of the spare part and the certificate of the service station within fourteen days from the date of purchase. Write a complaint statement. The seller is obliged to issue its sample. Attach a receipt and service station certificates to the application. Present the purchased spare part.

Step 3

If the spare part was selected incorrectly by the seller, the store is obliged to replace it with the "correct" one or return the money. Certain requirements are imposed on the returned spare part: it must correspond to consumer qualities, there must be no traces of installation on it, the packaging must not be torn or stained. If the spare part is defective or does not correspond to the number indicated on the package, the store is obliged to return the money or exchange it for another one (of your choice). In other cases, it can only be exchanged.

Step 4

Keep in mind that the store will not accept the spare part back if it was purchased by order. Substandard parts (which the buyer are obliged to warn about when purchasing) and electrical equipment are also not accepted for return.

Step 5

If the purchased spare part was ordered from the catalog, issue its return in accordance with Article 26.1 of the Consumer Protection Law within seven days from the date of purchase. If information on the procedure and terms of return was not provided in writing at the time of purchase, the spare part can be returned within three months.

Step 6

Receive money for the returned part within ten days from the date of the application or claim. The refund of the cost of a spare part purchased from a catalog is made in the amount reduced by the store's expenses on delivery from the consumer of the returned spare part.
