Car expenses are an important cost item for the family budget. These include monthly expenses for gasoline and minor repairs, necessary insurance and maintenance payments, etc. By calculating your car expenses for a month or a year, you can plan your budget.
Instructions
Step 1
To track expenses, you need a notebook, notebook, or computer. It is very convenient to use Excel spreadsheets for accounting. Divide the sheet into several columns. Write the expense item in each box.
Step 2
The main item is the cost of gasoline. It is best to count them in a month. Write down the speedometer readings in a separate column. In the next column, enter the remainder of gasoline in liters. Collect carefully all receipts received at the gas station. Record the amount of gasoline filled and the amount.
Step 3
Separately, you can allocate the cost of gasoline for travel not on the usual route (for example, if you were asked to go to the airport to meet someone). At the end of the month, you can calculate how many kilometers you have driven your car during the current time, and how much you spent on fuel
Step 4
The next item of running costs is washing, parking and garage. It is also more convenient to count them in a month. Collect receipts or simply write down the costs in separate columns. The costs of maintaining the garage can be accounted for separately.
Step 5
Expenditure items that are convenient to count for the year are the cost of car insurance for OSAGO and CASCO, transport tax, as well as the amount spent on carrying out a technical inspection of the car. Put the costs of maintaining the car in a car service in a separate column.
Step 6
It is better to divide the column that takes into account the cost of repairs into two - minor (current) repairs, major repairs. The cost of minor repairs, such as replacing mirrors or a broken wheel, is best counted in a month. The cost of major repairs, which include, for example, replacing the gearbox or clutch, is more logical to calculate for a year. The cost of the necessary spare parts can be included in a separate item, or it can be included in the repair costs by writing them out in a separate line.
Step 7
Another necessary item is the modernization of the car, i.e. expenses for tuning, gadgets, new disks, etc. The next item of expenses is traffic fines. They can be counted in a year or a month, depending on how often you break the rules.
Step 8
For miscellaneous expenses, create a separate column and record any incidental expenses in it.
