The annual Geneva Motor Show will be held from 8 to 11 March, but journalists have already been allowed to see the new items and make their own reviews on them. Among the richly decorated new concept Aston Martin Lagonda and the obscene Bugatti La Voiture Noire, which the specialists made in a single copy and already sold for 11 million euros, the journalists were able to make out the Polestar 2. This is a Volvo car brand that deserves attention for its appearance, relevance and decided showcase yourself at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
The Polestar 2 is a five-door, all-electric fastback coupe that carries much of the sporty styling of the 2017 Polestar 1. Polestar 1 is an electric sedan with a petrol four-cylinder engine and two auxiliary electric motors (80 kilowatts each) with a total output of 218 liters..from. in total, the engines produce 600 hp. The Polestar 2 looks like a luxury car and given its starting price, this is to be expected from it. And given the fact that the Volvo Polestar 2 is equipped with the Android Google operating system, which allows you to control the car like a tablet, this fastback was a pleasant surprise.
The interior of the Volvo Polestar 2 is equipped with vegan textiles, which means that the materials are free from ingredients and additives of animal origin. There will also be models available with ventilated Nappa leather (leather that is made from sheepskin and cattle hides), leather used for clothing and in car interiors. In addition to the choice of interior, the buyer will be able to choose other tuning packages: high-performance packages to increase power, metallic paint on the car body and choose which 20-inch wheels your car will ride on and other changes that Polestar will allow.
There will be a Performance Package that will include Brembo brakes, 20-inch wheels and special dampers not found in the regular version. Well, do not forget about the standard things that will be included in the package: rear mirrors without frames, a panoramic sunroof, touch-sensitive lights for rear passengers that illuminate the interior from the touch of a hand, and the beloved Android Auto system.
In general, they started talking about the Android Auto system back in 2014, when they decided to make an operating system for a car and use it without a smartphone. In 2017, Google announced that it would work with Audi and Volvo cars for now, and in early 2018 demonstrated this program on a Volvo XC40. The main changes to the car were on the steering wheel, now there was a Google Assistant button on the steering wheel, using the button you could play music, get directions and even change the temperature in the cabin. At the moment, cars use Volvo Sensus, but it is inferior to Android Auto. Android Auto has 4 menu bars that can be moved around for ease of use.
The tiles in the interface of this operating system are larger, brighter and more clearly visible. It seems that the android tablet is tethered in the car or the tablet is located in the center panel of the Volvo car. Even when you need to see notifications, you need to drag your finger from the top to the bottom of the screen. Android Auto has a built-in Google Play application for downloading the necessary applications, such as: Deezer, Pocketcasts and Telegram, but YouTube was specifically excluded from this Google Play, so that the driver was not distracted from the road. Google, of course, cooperates with other car manufacturers, but the most advanced developments of the company are found in the cars of Volvo and Audi.

Tesla cars, which run on the Ubuntu operating system, were the first to have large touchscreen media controls. Tesla is building on modern technology and trying to make a car run by computers and operating systems, but not all cars will run the same OS. Now there is a good assortment of both the choice of the car and the choice of the operating system under which it will drive. For example, Toyota and Lexus are controlled by Linux operating systems. Those who cooperate with LG may even get WebOS, which is based on the Linux kernel, only improved in its own way. And at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Volkswagen and LG showcased their work, a concept car called the GEA. GEA has a holographic display, smartwatches, and other advanced computer technologies.
In the middle of the Polestar car, there is an 11.1-inch LCD screen, with which you will control this car, it runs Android Auto. The Google Assistant integrates Spotify, an internet streaming audio service that works just as well as the Google Home smart speaker.
