Step 1
Find out which key you have. You also need to consider the purpose for which you want to parse your standard key. Usually, this need arises when the factory key breaks. A simple replacement is not enough here, since there is a chip inside the case that activates the immobilizer. This little chip needs to be embedded in a new key.
Step 2
Examine the surface of the key. If there are slots, then try to open the case by inserting a knife blade into them. If the case is cast, then you will have to carefully cut out the microchip. To do this, find out its exact location. You can try bringing the key to a bright light source. If the plastic is translucent, then carefully trace the outline of the chip, which will be a dark spot in the light.
Step 3
Refer to your vehicle's manual. It can indicate the exact location of the chip in the key. Also visit the forum dedicated to your model. Surely someone has already encountered a similar problem. Begin to carefully peel off the plastic of the key body with a wire cutter. Be very careful! Do not under any circumstances touch the chip with the wire cutters! This can lead to its violation.
Step 4
Peel off the remaining plastic with a knife. Wipe the surface of the microchip with cologne or alcohol.
Step 5
Parsing a flip key is much easier. Disable your car alarm to avoid false alarms. Carefully separate the sticker with the car brand logo from the key body. It is best to purchase a new sticker in advance so that you can replace it when reassembling.
Step 6
Find the small bolts holding the body. Unscrew them carefully, remembering the exact location. Use the end of a flat-bladed screwdriver to pry one of the housing parts and carefully detach it. Inside you will see a small microchip. He is responsible for managing the immobilizer. Take it out.
Step 7
Detach the key blade together with the ejection mechanism. Dismantle the buttons. The key is completely disassembled. Assembly should be done upside-down.
