Buying not new alloy wheels that they like, motorists do not always pay attention to the condition of their paintwork. In addition to the color combination with the color of the car body, alloy wheels are painted to protect them from corrosion. Aluminum alloys suffer greatly from exposure to the reagent that is sprinkled on roads in winter.

Instructions
Step 1
First, wash the wheels well and remove the tires from them. Remove the air-inflating fungi.
Step 2
Using a grinder and a brush attached to it, clean the discs from old paint. Perform this work in safety glasses so as not to damage your eyes with flying sand grains or pieces of paint. This operation can be done faster if you can find access to the sandblaster. In addition, not all places of the wheel rim can be crawled with a grinder, which means that in those places you will have to remove the old paint manually using coarse sandpaper.
Step 3
After you have cleaned off the paint, wipe the discs with a silicone remover to remove dust from old paint and degrease them at the same time.
Step 4
Place the discs in an oven and preheat them to 40 degrees. After warming up the discs, cover them with a layer of primer. It is not necessary to apply a lot of primer, the main thing is to close large scratches. Avoid applying primer to the tire seat. After priming the discs, dry the primer in an oven.
Step 5
When the primer is dry, cool the discs to room temperature and use P220 sandpaper to sand the surface of the discs. To avoid scratching, clean the primer in a crisscross pattern. Leave a minimal coat of primer.
Step 6
Blow thoroughly with compressed air over the surface of the discs. Inspect for remaining minor damage, deep scratches and similar defects. Prime again those disks on which these defects are found. Then repeat the disc stripping operation.
Step 7
The discs can now be painted. Blow thoroughly the surfaces of the discs with compressed air, then use a clean cloth to wipe the discs with a silicone remover. Do not wipe with a cloth, as lint usually remains from the rag. Heat the discs in a drying cabinet to 40 degrees and apply the first coat of paint. Do not try to put a thick layer at once. It is better to put a few thin ones with intermediate drying. To do this, paint the heated discs in thin coats at intervals of 20 minutes. If the paint lays down with shagreen, then it's not scary, the main thing is not to make smudges.
Step 8
Dry the paint at 40-60 degrees. Keep the temperature for the first 2 hours, then turn off the heating of the drying cabinet. After 24 hours, the paint is completely dry.
Step 9
Moisten the disc surface with water and sand the dried paint with P-2000 sandpaper. Add water and rinse off the powder from the sandpaper. If shagreen has formed during painting, then use P-1000 sandpaper to remove it, and then sand the surface with P-2000 sandpaper.
Step 10
After preparing the paint surface, dry it and blow with compressed air. Cover the discs with a special clear varnish. Dry it in the same way as paint and polish with a polishing machine.
