The cost of gasoline is growing steadily from year to year. Demand, changing oil prices, higher excise taxes - this is a small list of reasons. It is difficult to predict the situation, but the nearest prospects have already been outlined by representatives of oil refining companies.
The cost of a liter of gasoline at Russian gas stations may change upwards in September. An increase of 2-2.5 rubles is expected. Representatives of the Russian Fuel Union believe that seasonality is the reason. At the end of summer, many people return from vacations and the harvest season begins. As a result, the consumption of gasoline increases, which stimulates higher prices. Moreover, in relation to other months, this growth is 15%.
Experts see the reason for such a rapid "warming up" of prices in rising oil prices. In the wholesale segment, the price of diesel fuel has risen, diesel fuel now has a better export component than gasoline. So it is more profitable to export it, which entails a rise in prices on the domestic market.
Soon, gas stations will follow the example of the wholesale link, but there should be no shortage of fuel, experts promise. Refineries are currently stocking up on safety stocks, so no delays in deliveries are expected.
The Russian market has its own patterns of price increases. For example, in the United States, the cost of oil affects the price of gasoline, in Russia - an increase in prices is associated with an increase in excise taxes on gasoline. This is despite the fact that the fuel tax rose in January, and the second increase occurred in July.
In Russia, the share of tax in the price of gasoline is more than 60%, which is a lot. In the USA, this share is significantly lower. It turns out that gasoline itself is an inexpensive product, but most of the overpricing goes to the state treasury.
In many regions, the rise in the cost of gasoline has already begun - these are Perm, Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, Smolensk, Bryansk, Lipetsk, Kaluga and other regions.
Following Lukoil, the cost of fuel will increase in other companies as well. Representatives of the Federal Antimonopoly Service believe that there might not have been an unjustified increase in prices, but this was facilitated by a number of objective factors that justify the increase in the cost of gasoline.
