LED backlighting is actively used in modern design. LED strips are used in various fields. For example, LEDs are used in interior decoration of premises and buildings. Shop windows are also illuminated with LED lamps, and cars also use LED strips. Low cost, practicality and easy installation have made LEDs widespread.

Necessary

  • - LED Strip Light
  • - power unit
  • - scissors
  • - soldering iron

Instructions

Step 1

At the very beginning, you need to decide on the installation site of the LED strip and calculate its future length. It is imperative to remember that the LED strip can be cut at multiple intervals (for example, the SMD 3528 Q60 strip can be cut every 5 cm), so this must be taken into account when calculating.

Step 2

The next step is the selection of the power supply. The power source must strictly correspond to the declared power of the tape. When choosing a block, it is best to consult with a professional consultant so as not to make a mistake.

Step 3

After all the components are purchased, you need to prepare the surface for mounting the tape. The installation site is thoroughly degreased (for example, with alcohol). It is best if the surface is solid (to avoid damage to the ribbon circuit board). If the tape is to be mounted on a metal or other conductive surface, the tape must be insulated.

Step 4

If the tape does not need to be cut, then you can immediately proceed with the installation. The LED strips have an adhesive layer on the back. With the help of this adhesive layer, the tape is installed. The protective coating is removed and the tape is pressed against the surface.

Step 5

The last step will be to connect the tape to the power supply and controller, which is made by wires from the tape. Each wire has its own designation on the conductive track, R, G, B and V +, and is connected, respectively, polarity to 4 inputs on the controller R, G, B, V +. The power supply to the 220V network is connected with two wires to the L + and N- connectors. Next, connect the "+" on the power supply to the "+" on the controller, and "-" to "-", respectively. the polarity of the voltage must not be confused - this can lead to equipment failure and damage to the tape.
