To connect your speakers to your amplifier, you need to replace the standard factory speaker wiring with a more powerful one. For this purpose, an acoustic cable with a cross section of 2x1.5 mm is used with a strip along one core, since the standard acoustic wiring is made with wires of a smaller section and has a resistance at which 30% of the power is lost, the strip is needed to determine the polarity of the connection.

It is necessary

Buy a suitable amplifier of the appropriate power, speakers and a set of power and speaker cables. An 8mm power cable is perfect for powering a 4x50W amplifier and 15mm for a 4x100W amplifier. Speaker cables should be at least 2x1, 5mm, in addition, you will need a fuse designed for a current of up to 60A and a holder for it, you will also need line wires and a control wire

Instructions

Step 1

The standard wiring does not need to be removed, it does not interfere, it must be turned off, it may be useful for other purposes, for example, connecting a brake light, additional direction indicators. Having disconnected the standard acoustic wiring, we proceed to broach a new speaker cable. For tightening in the door, we use a thin steel wire. It is advisable to tighten the wire inside the standard corrugation. So it will not be noticeable that something was done with the machine, but on the other hand, the manufacturer took care of the trajectory of the wiring harness layout. The wire pulled into the door must be fixed in the same way as the standard wire was fixed, then it will last a very long time. Inside the car, it is advisable to lay the acoustic wire in one bundle with common wiring. After finishing one door, you can put the speaker on the prepared place and connect in the appropriate polarity.

Step 3

Remove the front seat and place a 10mm thick plywood sheet under the mat. The amplifier will be attached to it using self-tapping screws. Putting the amplifier in its future place, we put the seat back and try so that when the seat moves, it does not touch the amplifier housing.

Step 4

If everything is normal, proceed to the output of the power supply wire of the amplifier to the engine compartment. To do this, drill a 16 mm hole in the front wall of the body and insert a rubber ring with a hole for the wire into it. We pass the wire and pull it to the positive terminal of the battery.

Step 5

We attach along the entire length to the wiring harness or using clips to fasten the wires to the body and connect to the positive terminal of the battery. Near the terminal, you need to install a power fuse that will save the machine in case of a short circuit at the other end of the wire.

Step 6

We bring out the positive power wire to the power block of the amplifier and connect it. Next, we connect the power minus. Unlike the power plus, it doesn't have to be pulled that far. It is enough to connect it to the car body with an M6 bolt in the nearest convenient place and do not forget to clean off the paint at the point of contact, otherwise it is a good insulator.

Step 7

When the wire is connected to the body, the head of the bolt from the street side must be covered with a layer of sealant.

Now, we connect the acoustic wires according to the diagram drawn on the acoustic block and connect the control and line wires. We connect them to the radio, check how it works, set up the amplifier and put the seat in place.
