The physical properties of glass have pushed car manufacturers to change traditional vehicle manufacturing technologies, making the front and rear windshields part of the structural body. At present, these accessories are no longer installed as before, in the openings by means of sealing rubber bands, but are glued there using especially strong adhesives.

Step 1
The procedure for gluing the windshield into the body opening is possible only with two people, alone it will be extremely difficult to cope with such a task. In this case, an indispensable condition is the experience of both participants in the implementation of the proposed repair.
Step 2
The work is carried out in a dry and clean room, and all kinds of litter are unacceptable in it. At the beginning, an electric hair dryer heats up the outer perimeter of the glass for half an hour, closer to the opening. Then, having installed the vacuum devices, using special strings from the body, it is necessary to remove the old accessory (or its remnants).
Step 3
A layer of old glue, up to two millimeters thick, must be left on the frame of the body opening. Then the vacant place for installing the new glass is thoroughly cleaned of dust, moisture and other contaminants, and a layer of primer is applied to it.
Step 4
A prepared new windshield with a thoroughly cleaned surface is coated with an activator with an activator with a ceramic edging, on which a primer is applied after 2-3 minutes.
Step 5
Opening the cartridge and inserting it into a gun with a tip, you need to squeeze out the glue in an even layer onto the surface of the prepared edge or along the perimeter of the body opening.
Step 6
Further, without delay, the prepared glass is installed in its regular place and vacuum devices are dismantled from it. Keep in mind that the countdown of the time required for the adhesive to crystallize starts from the moment the cartridge is opened, not after it has been applied.
