When such a malfunction occurs, the sound of the engine of the machine begins to resemble the roar of a tractor from a collective farm yard. And the motorist has an irresistible desire to quickly replace the muffler.

Instructions
Step 1
The system for removing exhaust gases from the car engine consists of: intake pipes, two intermediate resonators and a muffler, which in this case requires replacement.
Step 2
To carry out repair work related to replacing a burnt-out part with a new muffler, the car is placed in an inspection pit, on which the bolts are unscrewed from below, tightening the connecting clamp, in the cavity of which the sealing joint of the muffler and the exhaust pipe is carried out.
Step 3
Having unscrewed two bolts with a 13 mm wrench, the clamp is removed, and the metal-asbestos sealing ring is removed from the joint. At the beginning of dismantling, the metal "tongue" on the bracket of the front attachment of the muffler is bent.
Step 4
Then, lifting the dismantled part with your hands, the muffler is removed from the rear and front brackets.
Step 5
The old, burnt-out muffler is sent to scrap metal, and a new part is installed in its place, which is mounted in the gas exhaust system using a clamping clamp and a heat-resistant sealing ring.
