Step 1

Step 2

Disconnect the negative battery cable. Then remove the air filter, all wire connectors, as well as the clutch release cylinder and the coolant reservoir.

Step 3

Unscrew the starter mounting bolt located at the top. Now remove the mounting bolts and disconnect the transmission from the engine. Remember to remove the wheels and mud screens. After that, you will need a lift or a viewing ditch.

Step 4

Move under the engine and drain the oil from the gearbox, then unscrew the bolts with which the gearbox is attached to the engine, after removing the exhaust pipe. After you have disconnected the gearbox, then check the clutch elements, and, if possible, replace them with new ones. Inspect all shafts and gears for external visible damage.

Step 5

Do not press the clutch pedal when carrying out the operation to remove the transmission. Before assembling the gearbox, replace all old and worn-out parts of the car, install new gaskets under all covers and thoroughly coat everything with sealant. Reinstall the box in reverse order.
