On a Lada Priora car, the center console is made in one piece with the instrument panel. However, in order to provide quick access to parts and mechanisms, the cover on the console is removed separately.
It is necessary
- - a set of open-end and spanner wrenches;
- - screwdriver.
Instructions
Step 1
To remove the trim on the console, remove the heated rear window switch button from it by prying it with a screwdriver. Disconnect the rear window defogger wiring connector. Remove the ashtray. Remove the storage compartment cover by pulling the pins out of the holes. Unscrew the four screws securing the console: two under the ashtray and two under the storage compartment container.
Step 2
Take out the radio and disconnect its wires. On the sides of the radio niche, unscrew two more screws securing the cover. Remove the pad, overcoming the resistance of its spring holders at the top of the pad.
Step 3
Disconnect the battery to remove the instrument panel with the console unit. Remove the steering wheel, steering column trim, steering column switches, floor tunnel linings. Remove the instrument panel. Unscrew the screws on both sides of the center console.
Step 4
Pry off with a screwdriver and remove the side window blower nozzles. Access to the nuts of the upper fastening of the instrument panel located under them will open. Unscrew these nuts. Turn the three latches to remove the fuse box cover. Remove the screws securing the instrument panel amplifier located under the fuse box cover. Remove the amplifier.
Step 5
Find 4 screws of its fastening under the dashboard and unscrew them. Also remove the screws securing the instrument panel to the left and right of the steering column. Locate and unscrew the fastening screw to the right of the dashboard. The "ground" wires of the instrument panel are attached to the body with an M8 bolt. Unscrew it. The dashboard wire pads are held in place by clips. Slide them to the right and detach the pads.
Step 6
Disconnect the ignition switch and power steering wire connector. Unscrew the nut securing the "ground" wires to the electronic units. Disconnect the instrument panel harness from the ignition system harness, from the power and airbag control units
Step 7
Remove the dashboard together with the center console and take it out of the passenger compartment. The dashboard is quite heavy and bulky, so carry out this operation together with an assistant.
