Step 1
Drive the car into the garage. Apply the parking brake. Remove the negative terminal of the battery to de-energize the on-board power system, as you will have to partially remove electrical appliances. Remove all items from the vehicle. Start soundproofing with the doors. To do this, you need to remove the panels. They are attached to plastic caps. If you have power windows installed, then you first need to dismantle the buttons that are located on the doors. Remove the trim and pry off the button body with a screwdriver. Gently pull it out of the connector and disconnect the connector.
Step 2
Take vibroplast and cut it into separate pieces so that you can completely glue the inside of the door. Peel off the backing layer and gently stick the pieces onto the iron. Then take a building hair dryer, set it to the maximum temperature and begin to evenly heat the vibroplast in a circular motion. Then iron it thoroughly with an iron roller. Glue and heat up each part of the vibroplast separately. Never try to warm up several glued parts. Each piece should be glued to the gland as tightly as possible, otherwise there will be no sense from the laid sound insulation.
Step 3
Remove the headliner. On the ceiling in your Kia, you will see several stiffeners that divide the space into several parts. Cut out solid pieces of vibroplast for each part of the ceiling. The fewer joints you make, the better the soundproofing will work. Heat the glued vibroplast and iron it with a roller. It is also necessary to make soundproofing of the engine compartment. To do this, dismantle the torpedo. You will also have to remove all the wiring that is located under the torpedo. If you find factory soundproofing, remove with a knife, preheated with a hair dryer. The back side of the torpedo, if desired, can also be pasted over with vibroplast. This will ensure maximum silence in the cabin. Let the glued soundproofing dry for about an hour. After that, assemble the salon in the reverse order.
