Most often, the heater is remembered at the onset of the autumn-winter period or when coolant appears in the car. Heating system malfunctions always create an uncomfortable atmosphere in the car and spoil the mood of the driver and passengers. Replacing the stove on a VAZ-2107/2106/2105 car is the same and differs slightly more complexity in comparison with replacing the stove with a VAZ-2101/2102.
Necessary
- - two new rubber gaskets for the heater tap and the radiator pipe;
- - two worm clamps with a diameter of 16-23 mm;
- - coolant;
- - a set of keys and screwdrivers.
Instructions
Step 1
Wash the engine compartment of the vehicle before starting work. Place it on a level horizontal platform and secure with the parking brake. The engine must be cold. When performing work along the way, clean all threaded and fasteners from corrosion and dirt using a metal brush. Treat them with kerosene or grease. Drain the engine coolant. Place a rag under all connections.
Step 2
Open the engine compartment and use a screwdriver to loosen all the clamps on the hoses that supply and return coolant to the heater. Then remove these hoses from the radiator pipes and stove faucet. In this case, a certain amount of coolant is allowed to flow out of the pipes and hoses.
Step 3
Unscrew the two self-tapping screws securing the seal to the body using a 7-point socket wrench. Remove the seal from the pipes. Disconnect the drive rod from the stove faucet. Carefully remove the heater fan casing. To remove the heater radiator, remove its pipes from the holes in the engine compartment shield.
Step 4
Unscrew the two bolts securing the coolant outlet pipe with a 10-ring spanner and remove the pipe itself. Find the rubber gasket that seals the connection between the pipe and the radiator of the stove. When reassembling, this gasket should be replaced with a new one. Remove the tap from the heater radiator.
Step 5
Before installing the heater radiator, discard all old rubber gaskets and clamps and install new ones. Install all removed parts and assemblies of the heating system in the reverse order of removal. Before pouring coolant into the engine, move the stove cock control lever to the extreme right position.
Step 6
Fill the engine with coolant to the required level and check the tightness of all connections. Tighten connections if necessary.
