In a VAZ-2110 car, the stove is a separate system, which directly includes the heater itself and the air distributor. Due to the harsh winters, it is sometimes necessary to replace the stove.

Instructions

Step 1

Open the hood and disconnect the negative cable from the vehicle battery. Then drain the coolant. Perform preliminary preparations: remove the windshield trim, engine compartment trim, windshield wipers, disconnect the electric motor wires and hose from the damper valve.

Step 2

Carefully loosen the clamp that secures the heater steam pipe and disconnect it. Do the same with the heater hose clamps, then remove the hoses themselves. Take a Phillips screwdriver in your hands and unscrew the screws that secure the heater housing to the shield. Before that, remove the dashboard, because getting close to the fastening screws is quite difficult, especially during the assembly process. Therefore, unscrew these screws from the passenger compartment and raise the heater.

Step 3

Two self-tapping screws are located at the top, one at the bottom and the last on the right side under the soundproofing. Remove the heater from the engine compartment. The front cover is removed by detaching the brackets at the top and two self-tapping screws at the bottom. Then remove the cover and take out the heater motor.

Step 4

Remove the four screws that secure the front housing and unfasten the four brackets, then carefully detach the air intake housing and rear heater shroud. Pull out the radiator and shutter. Unscrew the self-tapping screws that secure the heater casing cover. After that, you can remove the flap.

Step 5

Replace the stove, and reassemble everything in the reverse order. Remember that it is better to replace the foam rubber seals of the radiator. Make sure that the fork on the damper shaft aligns with the lever. Check for the raised position of the shutter, because if it is lowered the engagement does not occur. Then fill up with coolant again and check the heater is working properly.
