- - new radiator.
Instructions
Step 1
Replacing the stove radiator on Kalina is not the most pleasant experience. What kind of tricks are not invented to facilitate the process. But the correct option is the one in which the torpedo is removed. Of course, many screws will have to be unscrewed in order to remove all the small plastic parts of the panel. But you still have to remove the front seats to increase the working space. As you can see only from this, there is a lot of work, so it will take a lot of time to replace the radiator. Moreover, most of the time will be spent on preparation. Disconnect the battery immediately, because you will have to work in a place where there are hundreds of meters of wires.
Step 2
Drain the coolant from the cooling system before starting repairs. Do not forget to open the stove tap so that the liquid is completely removed from the system. But you still have to put some kind of rags under the radiator while removing the pipes. A small amount of liquid may still remain in the tubes. Next, you need to remove the accelerator and brake pedal to make room. Without these pedals, it will be more convenient for you to dismantle the panel elements. You will also have to unscrew one bolt securing the handbrake. Simply loosen the second bolt. This is necessary in order to unscrew the central tunnel.
Step 3
Remove the electric power steering if installed in the vehicle. And now the worst thing awaits you - the unscrewing of many screws from the panel. Extract everything you can. Ashtray, air flaps, tape recorder, cigarette lighter, plugs. Under them you will find a lot of self-tapping screws, which should also be unscrewed. There are plugs on the sides of the panel, under them there are bolts that attach the parprise to the body. They need to be unscrewed, like those located under the windshield. For you, the main task is to unscrew the fasteners of the snail to the body and move it to the side by slightly turning it. This is the only way to remove the radiator.
Step 4
Unscrew the clamps that are located on the pipes leading to the radiator. Pay attention immediately to the condition of the pipes and clamps. If they are in poor condition, be sure to replace them with new ones. You still have to disconnect the air duct that connects the stove and the engine compartment. And only after that you can unscrew the nuts securing the snail to the partition. Moving aside the snail, you can easily remove the radiator, and install a new one in its place. And now the assembly of the entire panel begins. It is very important not to forget which part was where.
