During the autumn-summer period of operation, foliage accumulates inside the VAZ-2107 heater, as in any other domestic car. In addition, scale deposits build up inside the radiator itself. And the result is one - a decrease in the efficiency of the heating system. This malfunction is eliminated by disassembling the stove and washing it.
Necessary
- - two new rubber pads;
- - two new worm clamps;
- - coolant;
- - tank for collecting coolant;
- - wrenches
Instructions
Step 1
Perform work on cleaning the stove with the VAZ-2107 engine turned off and cold. Place a rag or cloth under all the pipes in advance. In the engine compartment, loosen the clamps securing the coolant inlet and outlet hoses. Remove the hoses from the radiator pipes and the heater tap by placing a container under them to collect the liquid.
Step 2
Take a socket wrench for 7 and unscrew the self-tapping screws of the seal mounted on the technological hole on the partition of the motorcycle compartment. After removing the seal, disconnect the heater tap drive rod and the stove fan casing. Then remove the heater radiator pipes from the hole in the bulkhead of the engine compartment and remove the radiator.
Step 3
Using a 10 spanner spanner, unscrew the two bolts securing the heater radiator outlet pipe. Remove the branch pipe, replace the rubber gasket sealing the flange connection with a new one. Remove the heater tap from the stove. Remove all accumulated leaves from the radiator, clean the pipes and the heater tap. Clean the inside of the hoses with a brush.
Step 4
Flush the radiator using one of two methods. The first method is flushing with a Karcher installation under a pressure of about 5.5 atmospheres. Flush the radiator until the water overflowing from the radiator is completely clear. Experience has shown that this requires approximately 160 liters of water.
Step 5
The second method is washing with caustic soda. To do this, pour the caustic soda solution into the radiator and drain it after an hour, paying attention to the color of the merging liquid. The procedure is repeated until the leaving solution is the same color as before pouring into the radiator. After the caustic soda, blow out the radiator with compressed air using a compressor.
Step 6
Replace all removed rubber gaskets and clamps with new ones. Assemble the heating system in reverse order. Before filling with new coolant, move the heater tap to the extreme right position. After adding coolant to the required level, check the tightness of all connections. Retighten the clamps if there are leaks.
