The issue of body protection on the eve of winter is becoming especially relevant. And all because it is during the cold period that its components are most vulnerable. Changes in temperature, humidity, precipitation, cold and reagents on the roads can in one season turn good body parts into a heap of "scrap metal" that has lost both its appearance and operational properties. In order not to get an unpleasant surprise with the arrival of spring, the car enthusiast should prepare in advance for the frost and carry out a number of activities.

The shortest way to eliminate all existing defects is a visit to the workshop. The advantage of this behavior is that all the work will be done by professionals, which will significantly increase the level of quality and minimize the risk of errors. If the decision is made in favor of self-repair, then it is advisable not to miss a single item from the following list (this is the algorithm used by the car service masters):

- washing (very thorough, preferably professional, allowing you to see the true state of the parts, to reveal all scratches, cracks, dents or other damage to the body);

- straightening, stripping, priming (preparatory work, as a result of which the car owner will receive a surface ready for paint application);

- painting (it is most convenient to use a spray gun, this device will help to avoid unnecessary flaws, in the form of smudges and obvious transitions);

- polishing (it is best to use compositions prepared on the basis of wax, they will protect the details and improve the appearance of the machine).

This exercise is useful for two reasons. First, it neutralizes already existing foci of corrosion, and further spread of rust is excluded. Second, the treated areas are reliably protected from any "intrigues" of aggressive factors. Neither frost, nor moisture, nor chemical mixtures can harm the body parts, on which a layer of a special protective compound is applied. The motorist has two options:

- carry out the processing yourself with the help of auto chemicals (not very reliable and very laborious);

- entrust the car to the service station specialists (one hundred percent result, saving time and effort, not very big financial expenses).

Hidden hard-to-reach areas of the body are ideal places for the accumulation of dirt, sand, sleet and deicing agents. Having firmly settled on the surface of body parts, they begin their "work", namely, they become the cause of the appearance of new foci of corrosion, which in the future can very significantly increase in size. One of the most vulnerable places of this kind can be considered wheel arches, they then need additional means of protection. To increase the degree of preservation of this part of the body, it is enough to install wheel arch liners with suitable characteristics in terms of size, shape and method of attachment.

That's all. Now the car is ready to face the long cold winter fully armed. And its owner can sleep peacefully, because the body of his car in the coming spring will not be a reason to visit the car service masters in order to carry out a serious body repair. The only thing that can bring him to the service station when the first buds on the trees swell is the desire to make his "swallow" even more beautiful!
