Instructions

Step 1

In most cases, flushing the radiator or cleaning it saves. Although a small amount of coolant may be the cause, the filter is clogged. And the best option would be if you remove the radiator itself, since without removing it, the flushing or cleaning procedure will be useless and will not bring significant results. The stove, although it will warm up again as it should, but not for long, so take this issue very seriously.

Step 2

It makes no sense to describe the detailed procedure for removing the radiator, since each car has its own characteristics and nuances. If the stove radiator has already been removed, the following steps will help. Unsolder the bottom and the top radiator cap. Use a gas heater or a soldering iron for this purpose, you can also use a regular hotplate. Perform mechanical cleaning. For this, a hand or electric drill is suitable, and instead of a drill, insert a steel wire. Carefully "fill in" all the holes, not missing a single one. After that, rinse the radiator with water so that all the dirt comes out. Or as an option: fill it with a specially designed flushing liquid and leave it for 2-3 days, and then rinse it with water. For rinsing, you can use other rinsing or dissolving agents. A hot solution of alkali is very suitable, and after that, drive off citric acid, also hot. Dry the radiator as any remaining water droplets will interfere with a good bonding of the lid. Solder the top and bottom covers again. Proceed very carefully here so that next time you can do this work again in case of another blockage. Reassemble in reverse order. This procedure, although a little time consuming, will help to save money on buying a new radiator. Although if the radiator is completely rusted, then there is no refraining from buying a new one.
