Currently, citizens of the Russian Federation can apply for OSAGO through the "Gosuslugi" portal. To purchase a compulsory auto insurance policy, you must register on the resource and fill out a special electronic form.
Registration on the portal "Gosuslugi"
Open the site https://www.gosuslugi.ru/, click on the link "Personal account" and select the item "Register". Please enter a valid last name, first name, mobile phone number and email. Follow the further instructions on the screen to complete registration.
Once in your personal account, fill in the detailed information about yourself. After verifying the authenticity of the passport and SNILS, the system will offer to confirm the identity of the citizen. It is imperative to do this in order to gain access to the full list of public services, including issuing an OSAGO policy.
Confirmation can be made by personally visiting the Rostelecom public service center with a passport and SNILS certificate. It is also possible to use an electronic identity identifier in the presence of a pre-issued electronic signature key. Finally, you can request delivery of the activation letter to your own mailing address. As soon as the profile is officially confirmed, the user gets access to all the necessary services.
The procedure for issuing OSAGO
Please note that you can apply for OSAGO online only if the insurance policy has already been issued earlier. Only in this case, the data on the owner of the car is entered into the electronic database of the insurance company. Thus, those who are going to insure a car for the first time will have to visit the office of the insurance company in person.
Drivers with experience after entering their personal account on "Gosuslug" should go to the "Service catalog" tab, then - "Transport and driving". Select the section "Electronic insurance" and click on the link "e-OSAGO". Select the appropriate insurance company from the list of available insurance companies and wait for the electronic policy registration form to download.
Fill in all the required fields of the form, indicating the series, number and place of registration from the civil passport, title of the personal car (series / number, VIN and year of manufacture, license plate and engine power). You will also need data from a driver's license (driving license): series and number, full name and date of birth of the owner.
Pay for OSAGO using one of the available methods, for example, using a bank card. Please carefully and accurately indicate the amount requested by the insurance company. As soon as the funds are credited to the agent's account, the data on the insured car owner is transferred to the AIS RSA database. From this moment on, the OSAGA policy is considered to be issued and enters into force immediately or from the day the previous policy expires. The document itself is sent to the client's e-mail, after which it should be printed and subsequently carried with you while using the vehicle.
