In VAZ cars, a supply and exhaust ventilation and heating system is mainly used. Forced supply of heated air is carried out through the oven, the control system of which is different in different VAZ models.
There are several modes of interior ventilation in VAZ cars. It can be carried out in a natural way, due to the headwind pressure when the car is moving. The ventilation also has a forced operation mode, in which the blower fans operate. In winter, the engine heat is used to heat the passenger compartment, which is removed from the engine through the cooling system. In different models of VAZ cars, the switching on and temperature settings are different, although the stove device remains almost identical.
Interior heating on the classic
In VAZ models from the first to the seventh generation, the most simple and unpretentious mechanism of the heating system is installed. To turn on the fan, a toggle switch located on the left side of the heater control panel is used. The ventilation and heating mode of the passenger compartment is set using three levers: the upper one regulates the temperature, the middle one can enable or disable the flow of outside air, the lower one sets the heat distribution throughout the passenger compartment. On the side of the front panel divider on the driver's side, there is a control lever for the air distribution cover.
Turning on and setting up the stove on VAZ cars of the eighth and ninth generation
The device of the stove in VAZ 2108 and VAZ 2109 cars is considered more perfect than in earlier models. The fan is turned on by turning the speed control knob, which has four positions. The ventilation mode is set by two levers: with the left one you can turn on the flow of warm air into the leg area, while the right one sets the distribution between the windshield and the interior vents. The temperature is selected manually using the lower lever. The control unit itself is located in the central part of the front panel, between the driver's and passenger's seats.
Heating system operation in the newest cars
In the latest models of VAZ cars, the heating system has an automatic operation mode, which is controlled by an air sensor located in the cabin, a stove thermostat and an electronic control unit. Depending on the temperature parameters, the controller regulates the rotation speed of the supply fan and the position of the dampers of the heating and ventilation system. The heater control panel is located in the middle of the front panel, just below the two central deflectors. The stove is turned on by turning the right handle from the zero position to any of four others: automatic or three preset speeds. The choice of temperature is made by the left knob: it has seven positions from 16 to 30 degrees in increments of 2 degrees and regulates the air temperature in the passenger compartment. The choice of the circulation mode is carried out by buttons with the corresponding mnemonic designations.
