In recent years, GPS navigation has become a very real part of the modern world. Special satellites located in high orbits of the planet transmit information about the geographical coordinates of the desired object to navigators, and the GPS antenna (built-in or remote) indicates the point of its location on an electronic map.
The use of GPS devices for cars is obvious: they not only make it possible to have the latest information about the situation on the roads, but also "tie" the trajectory to the roadway and specific addresses. In this case, GPS maps take into account the traffic rules, as well as the characteristics of certain sections and other factors that affect the choice of the optimal route.
Search on the Internet
GPS maps have become indispensable helpers for the driver in determining the fastest and most comfortable path, regardless of the brand of his car, because for each of them there are only GPS navigation maps intended for her. How do you install them? First of all, you need to go to a special site, for example, Route.ru, then find the desired place on the map ("Maps" section) and select it while holding the mouse button. Next, select the type of map you need, save it for GPS on your computer (.kmz file) and, having connected the navigator to it, copy this file to the folder. That, perhaps, is all the wisdom.
Installation
In the section "settings-> map-> map information" should appear "Custom maps: Marshruty_Ru", which must be enabled for viewing. Now let's check. Determine in the navigator a place related to the loaded "guide", set the approximation and make sure the map appears.
It is worth noting that installing and licensed is not difficult, because the developers have detailed instructions on this matter. The situation is different with the use of unofficial maps. Finding them, of course, is not difficult, but in this case you will be deprived of technical support and updates. In addition, one more factor must be taken into account: your navigation program must "agree" to work with a different format and "do not mind" adding new maps. So, using unlicensed products, you do it at your own peril and risk.
It remains to add that individual manufacturers, taking into account the needs of their customers, gave them the opportunity to use not one, but several navigation systems at once. This is done using the so-called alternative shell, which is copied to the internal or flash memory. The voluntary "helper", "pretending" to be a preinstalled navigation program, simply starts up instead.
