Car radio with gps navigation is the ideal solution for the car enthusiast. This device integrates the functionality of a GPS navigator and a multimedia station. The main thing in the successful functioning of this installation is its correct setting.
It is necessary
- - car radio;
- - screwdriver;
- - SD card.
Instructions
Step 1
Connect the car radio. Pay attention to the specifics of power connection. Thus, the gray wire (marked BRAKE) disables the protection of viewing TV and DVD programs while the vehicle is in motion.
Step 2
The wire marked AMP-CON is designed to control the switching on of external sources. Connect the amplifier through the wire intended for controlling the antenna: voltage will be supplied to it only while listening to the radio.
Step 3
Attach the car radio to the console panel, and then proceed with its setup. Carefully study the accompanying instructions for this device: it indicates which software can be installed on the car radio. As a rule, most models provide the ability to install IGO2006, Navitel, OZI and IGO8.
Step 4
Write the software to the SD card, for example, it will be IGO8. Then set the screen resolution (480x234) in the car radio, then insert the SD card and call the main gps menu. In the window that opens on the screen, select "Settings" and click on this button.
Step 5
In the "Settings" select the navigation program. To do this, specify the path to the program file launched from the SD card. Then start the IGO8 navigation software. Place the gps antenna on the torpedo towards the windshield.
Step 6
Test the operation of the car radio with GPS navigation function. In the event that the settings you made were made correctly, in just a few seconds the device will determine your location.
Step 7
Please note that there are gps car radios that support the ability to work in multi-GPS mode (that is, you can listen to music while gps is working). To enable this mode, during gps operation, press the gps key and hold it for a few seconds: the Normal / Multi mode selection window will appear on the screen.
