Any improvement, be it engine or suspension tuning, starts with improving the braking system. Remember that because of the improved dynamic performance, standard brakes impair passive safety. Step 1
If you have an SUV and you are a fan of active outings into nature, then the best tuning option in your case is pumping a suspension lift (increasing ground clearance), installing wheels of a larger radius with clearly pronounced lugs, as well as purchasing a snorkel for waterproofing the engine, power bumpers to protect the body from damage and, finally, an electric winch.
Step 2
In order to make a car lift, purchase spacers (if the jeep is frame), or enlarged springs (if the car is with a monocoque body). To install the spacers, unscrew the body at the points of attachment to the frame, then raise the body with a jack, install the spacers between the body and the frame and screw back. The elevator of the frame SUV is ready.
Step 3
For cars with a monocoque body, things are a little more complicated. Unscrew the struts at the points of attachment to the body, raise the body with a jack, remove the old spring, put a new one and screw everything back. After these operations, you can safely buy wheels of increased diameter with off-road tires and install them in regular places.
Step 4
In order to install the snorkel, you need a grinder. Attaching the snorkel to the attachment point, circle the hose passage area, then cut out the required section with a grinder, route the hose from the air filter to the snorkel and attach the snorkel to the body (hose, instructions, fasteners are included in the kit).

With deeper modifications, mechanical interventions are required in the design of the car, which reduces the life of the car many times, and in the end will lead to expensive overhaul.
