Instructions
Step 1
The stove radiator plays an important role in the process of engine operation. It must be replaced if a coolant leak is found in it. It is more convenient to remove it when assembled with all electric fans. Do not forget that this procedure should be carried out only on a cold engine.
Step 2
Unscrew the clamp on the steam hose that is connected to the expansion tank. Take the pliers in your hands and use them to slide the loosened clamp down. Finally remove the hose from the radiator pipe and repeat the procedure for the inlet and outlet hoses. The latter is connected to the water distribution pipe. After completing these works, unscrew the bolt that secures the upper radiator support bracket.
Step 3
Detach this bracket together with the upper support cushion. Next, carry out a similar operation with the second radiator support and carefully remove it together with the fans from the engine compartment. Carefully inspect the bottom support rubber pads located on the pins at the bottom of each reservoir. If these parts are a heavily crimped or hardened structure, replace them
Step 4
When re-installing the radiator, be sure to check its tightness. To do this, plug the pipes and connect a compressor to it, which will supply air with a pressure of 0.1 MPa. Then dip it in a container of water for about half a minute and watch for air bubbles, which will indicate cracks or holes. To further protect yourself from the appearance of coolant leaks, lubricate the radiator pipes with a sealant, and only then “put the hoses on them.
