If you wish, you can equip your garage with automatic gates so that you do not have to spend time and effort manually opening them regularly. There are several types of automatic gates - sectional, up-and-over, swing, sliding. Choose the option that suits you best.

Set up a work area in your garage. You may need a cabinet for storing tools, nuts, bolts, etc., a workbench, a place to store a pump, summer and winter wheels, a jack and other things that are needed for repair and car care. If there is no inspection hole in the garage, it is also advisable to make or purchase a special platform on wheels for inspecting and repairing the car. Arrange all things in their places so that order reigns in the garage.
Step 4
Provide an easy and safe entrance to the garage. Carefully lay the guides made of rails, pieces of wood, etc., so that they can be guided by when entering. This way, the car will be able to pass without touching the walls of the garage. This option is especially relevant if the garage is too cramped, or if there are a lot of things in it, which makes it very difficult to drive into the garage and not touch anything.

If you have to come to the garage from time to time in the evening or at night, and you are afraid that due to insufficient lighting you will not be able to stop the car in time and crash into the back wall of the garage, then you should install a special device. Place the contact plates near the back of the garage and connect them to the light bulb. When the car wheel hits the top plate and pushes it against the bottom plate, the circuit will close and the light will turn on.
