Instructions
Step 1
The negotiated refurbishment may be performed in a regular garage. The presence of a viewing hole in this case is not a prerequisite for its implementation.
Step 2
To install an expansion tank in cars of the VAZ family equipped with carburetor engines, you need to insert it into the bracket, in which the clamping bracket has a connection in the form of a bolt with a spring (thanks to the original technical solution, there is no need to unscrew the specified mount every time, it is enough to stretch the bracket with your hands and insert tank into it). Then the bracket, together with the reservoir and the branch pipe, is screwed with a 10 mm wrench with two bolts to the car body.
Step 3
On cars produced by the Volga Automobile Plant, equipped with a power plant with an injection engine, a branch pipe is first connected to the expansion tank of the engine cooling system, on which the clamp is tightened with pliers. The assembled tank is installed in a regular place, where it is fixed against arbitrary movement with a rubber tie, the iron bracket of which is put on the metal petal of the body or bracket.
Step 4
After filling the engine cooling system with antifreeze and removing the air lock from the water jacket, the antifreeze level in the expansion tank is brought to normal, and its filler neck is closed with a plug.
