At one time in 1997, when the first VAZ 2110 cars began to roll off the assembly line of an automobile plant in Togliatti, this was a breakthrough for the domestic auto industry. Although by international standards the Lada 110 was not a modern car, nothing better and more prestigious was not produced in Russia. But since the production of the top 10 was discontinued in 2007, it will not work to buy a new car, and you just have to opt for a used car.
Instructions
Step 1
Before proceeding with the choice of a specific car, you need to decide which engine the car will be with: eight - or sixteen-valve. And also with its volume: 1, 5 or 1, 6 liters.
Step 2
When inspecting the machine, pay attention to the following points:
- car mileage. The smaller it is, the better for the condition of the car.
- Body condition. Signs of corrosion on the bottom, sills, transverse and longitudinal spars and other body parts. Corrosion protection condition. Signs that the car has been in an accident: uneven gaps between body parts, doors, hood, trunk lid do not close well.
- Checking the engine. Cleanliness, no traces of oil leakage, coolant. The condition of the slugs, the absence of cracks on them.
- Condition of the undercarriage. Uneven tire wear may indicate incorrect suspension geometry (camber - toe). You can check the shock absorbers by pressing on the wing: one or two body swaying is allowed until it calms down.
Step 3
Take a test drive. Listen to how the engine works. The sound should be smooth and without knocking. Pay attention to whether the gears are easily shifted, whether there is a grinding noise at the same time. No knocking or rattling should be heard from the side of the suspension. Check how the brakes work.
Step 4
Check the documents for the car (vehicle passport, technical certificate). Compare the engine and chassis numbers on the papers and on the machine.
