If you are considering buying a new vehicle, inspect it carefully before closing the deal. Problems with the vehicle are not excluded, even if it is new. Testing the working condition of the car will not take much time. Find out how to properly check a new car before buying or leasing it.
Instructions
Step 1
Check the interior. Make sure the interior is clean, paying particular attention to the seat upholstery (fabric, vinyl or leather covering the driver and passenger seats), roof liners, door panels and flooring. Check for stains, cuts, tears, or any other sign of damage to the interior.
Step 2
Make sure all electrical and mechanical devices are working properly. Inspect the horn, wipers, air conditioning and heating system, power windows and door controller, lights, radio, headlights and seat belts.
Step 3
Assess the appearance of the vehicle. Walk around the car from all sides and carefully examine the body and the quality of painting. Make sure there are no dents or scratches on the car. You also need to make sure your tires are in perfect condition. Since you are buying a new car, the tires should not be worn out or damaged.
Step 4
Check the fluid levels and make sure there is enough (brake fluid, engine coolant, transmission fluid, engine oil, steering fluid, and windshield wiper fluid). Next, make sure the battery, hoses and belts are in good condition. The top of the battery must be clean and dry, and the terminal connections must be sealed and secure. Belts and hoses should look like new, without any cracks.
Step 5
Take your car for a test drive. Before signing the contract, you must make sure that the car is in perfect working order. Let the seller know right away if you notice any unusual sounds or noises coming from the vehicle.
