How to polish a new car
The processing of a new body can be done using only protective compounds. The most inexpensive and therefore common among them is wax. Such a polish gives the body shine, but there is no need to talk about protection; most often, wax compositions are used when preparing a car for sale. Teflon polish is rightfully considered more resistant. It is a polymer that adheres well to the "native" paint-and-varnish coating (LKM) and forms a film that is distinguished by durability, elasticity and resistance to the effects of various kinds of chemical reagents. Teflon coating works well at high and low temperatures. Teflon processing time usually does not exceed an hour if the car is washed and dry. The protective effect lasts for a period from 1, 5 to 3 months; under the condition of constant operation, it is recommended to subject the body to Teflon treatment at least 4 times a year.
An epoxy-based polish guarantees a long-lasting, strong film with a highly visible water-repellent effect. True, the coating process will take longer; in addition to washing, drying, you will need to degrease paintwork materials, apply and spray an epoxy composition, moreover, manually. The epoxy protection facilitates the cleaning process as dirt is more easily separated.
When to polish a new body
Polishing a new car is required due to the subsequent use of abrasive compounds that remove scratches, and with them the paint on the car. High-quality polish penetrates into the top layer of paintwork materials, forming additional protection. Therefore, it makes no sense to process a new car with cheap means (with the same wax, for example).
