Car body polishing gives the car a shine and refreshes the paint. The polish has protective properties, repels dirt and keeps the body clean for longer.
It is necessary
- Polish
- Cloth rags
- Suede leather
- Polishing machine
Instructions
Step 1
Choose a polish. If you want to refresh the color and hide small scratches, it is better to choose a polish in the body color. If you want to protect your paint before winter, a wax-based polish with an oily texture is the way to go. To give a freshly painted body shine, a polish with a metallic effect is suitable.
Step 2
Wash the vehicle thoroughly and let it dry. There should be no sand and dirt on the body.
Step 3
Apply the polish to a rag in a circular motion and rub it over the car body. The polish should be applied in a fairly dense layer. Avoid chrome surfaces and glass.
Step 4
Give the polish time to dry - 30-40 minutes. Do not apply polish in hot weather or in direct sunlight. Wet weather will also prevent the polish composition from penetrating more strongly into the body paint pigment.
Step 5
After the polish dries up, you can start polishing the body. The body can be perfectly polished using a special polishing machine. A soft attachment is put on the machine. When turned on, the machine starts spinning quickly and rubs the polish into the metal more, filling in the scratches more.
Step 6
If there is no typewriter, then take a rag made of thick, but not hard, fabric. With force, begin to rub the polish over the body until it disappears completely.
Step 7
After polishing, gently wipe the car body with a damp suede cloth to remove any dust that may have formed during the polishing process.
