Necessary

  • - a small round container;
  • - plugs for hoses;
  • - screwdriver.

Instructions

Step 1

Pull the power steering oil reservoir up to remove it. Then loosen the clamp slightly and disconnect the hose. Bring a round container to the leak. Then unscrew the clamp at the return hose and remove the hose. To prevent fluid leaks, plug the hoses.

Step 2

Connect the hoses immediately after this procedure, and then secure them with clamps. Refill the liquid and carefully check for leaks anywhere. If you find defects, be sure to eliminate them, and then bleed the system.

Step 3

Remove the pressure tube if you find any malfunction in it. To do this, use a screwdriver on the pump to unscrew the union from the connection. Then raise the machine and secure it on supports or stands.

Step 4

Unscrew the nut securing the pressure line tube, then disconnect the fittings attached to the return line and inlet line. Plug the tubes to prevent dirt and leaks. Then inspect all connections for leaks after reinstallation.

Step 5

Place a container under the leak if a defect has formed in the return line tube. Then lift up the machine and unscrew the union. Next, lower the car to the ground and loosen the clamp that secures the hose of the return line to the tank. Then carefully replace the defective tube and reassemble all parts in reverse order.

Step 6

If you want to replace the power steering pressure switch, you will need to disconnect the electrical connector and unscrew it. Then replace the plug on the pump and replace the pressure switch. But at the same time, it must be tightened with a torque of 17-23 N * m.

Step 7

Next, plug in the electrical connector and check the system for leaks. If you do not find them, then you can reassemble the parts. At the same time, do not forget to tighten the bolts, nuts and clamps very tightly so that they cannot be unscrewed due to vibrations while driving.
