Step 1

Remove the reservoir containing the power steering oil. To do this, pull it up. Then slightly loosen the clamp and disconnect the hose. Take any container and bring it to the place of leakage. Unscrew the return hose clamp and remove the hose. Close the hoses with plugs to prevent fluid leakage.

Step 2

After this procedure, connect the hoses and secure them with clamps. Refill the liquid and see if there are any leaks. If there are any defects, eliminate them and bleed the system.

Step 3

If there is a fault in the pressure tube, remove it. To do this, unscrew the union from the connection on the pump. After that, lift the car and fix its position on stands or supports. Remove the nut that secures the pressure line tubing.

Step 4

Disconnect the fittings that secure the return line tubing and inlet tubing. To prevent leaks and dirt from getting inside the tubes, close them with plugs. After reinstalling, check all connections for leaks.

Step 5

If the defect is in the return line tube, place a container under the leak, at the same time raise the car and unscrew the union of the tube you need. Then lower the machine and loosen the clamp that secures the return line to the reservoir. Replace the defective tube and reassemble in reverse order.

To replace the power steering pressure switch, disconnect the electrical connector and unscrew the switch itself. After that, carefully put the plug on the power steering pump. Replace the pressure switch. Remember that it is necessary to tighten it with a torque of 17-23 N * m. Plug in the electrical connector. Remember that after correcting any malfunction in the power steering system, it is necessary to check the system for leaks.
