The brake drum is removed from the VAZ 2106 car to replace it if the working surface is damaged or worn out, as well as to monitor the condition of the brake mechanisms and to replace the brake pads and working brake cylinders.

Instructions
Step 1
Remove the wheel, unscrew the two guide pins and remove the brake drum.
Step 2
If the brake drum cannot be removed by hand force, screw two M8 bolts into the threaded holes of the drum and, screwing them evenly, press the brake drum off the axle shaft flange.
Step 3
Grind the axle shaft flange seating surfaces.
Step 4
Lubricate the seating collar of the semiaxis flange with graphite grease or LSC-1 grease.
Step 5
Lubricate the seat of the new brake drum with graphite grease or LSC-1 grease.
Step 6
Install a new brake drum on the VAZ 2106 car.
Step 7
Center the brake drum on the axle shaft flange with a beard over the mounting holes.
Step 8
Screw in the guide pins, tighten them with a wrench.
Step 9
Press the brake pedal several times to set the pistons of the wheel cylinders to the working position. Install the wheel.
