Air conditioning is one of the many devices found in most modern cars. However, in hot weather, it becomes especially important because, by turning it on, you can ensure an acceptable temperature in the cabin.
Turning on the air conditioner
In many modern cars, such an option as the presence of an air conditioner is included in the basic equipment of the vehicle. Therefore, the variety of types, characteristics and parameters of air conditioning systems present in the automotive market is very large.
However, most of these systems have certain common features. So, in many cases, the label "A / C" is used to designate the air conditioning system in a car, which is an abbreviation of the English expression "Air conditioner", that is, air conditioning. As a rule, this mark is applied to a special button, pressing which causes the air conditioning system to turn on. In the event that the air conditioner in the car is turned on, the corresponding indicator on the dashboard usually lights up, which, however, can be replaced by the illumination of the button itself, which lights up when such a key is pressed.
Air conditioner regulation
The possibility of regulating the operation of the air conditioner depends on the type of such device and the class of the car. Thus, in the most basic systems installed in inexpensive cars, these possibilities are usually limited to a few basic tools. The first of them is the regulation of the direction of the air flow, which can be carried out using a special knob. Most often, this option provides several basic options - directing the flow to the windshield, in the face of the driver and passenger, in the feet of the driver and passenger. In addition, it is possible to combine several directions of the air flow.
The second tool for regulating the operation of the air conditioning system found in most cars is the flow rate. At the same time, it is not the air conditioner that operates at a given intensity that is actually responsible for the operation of this tool, but the fan, which more or less actively distributes the cooled air through the car interior. The choice of the flow rate is carried out using another special regulator, which has several divisions, located as this parameter increases.
But other options for regulating the operation of the air conditioning system in a car directly depend on its class. So, for example, in more expensive models, the driver or passenger may be able to set the desired air temperature or use other settings to create a comfortable microclimate in the cabin.
