Pasting a car with a matte film will not only change its appearance, making it original and effective, but also protect the paintwork from scuffs, scratches and the negative effects of environmental factors.

Necessary

  • - reels;
  • - hairdryer;
  • - soap solution;
  • - spray gun.

Instructions

Step 1

Wash the car and polish it to a shine. Wipe the area to be covered with foil with a degreasing agent, for example, a weak solution of white spirit.

Step 2

Please note that the ambient temperature during installation of the film must be equal to or higher than 20 degrees. Otherwise, the layer will not stick, or will not last long.

Step 3

If you plan to do bodywork outdoors, make sure the weather is calm. This is very important, because blown dust and small debris, falling on the adhesive base or the surface of the car, can ruin the whole work.

Step 4

Apply the material to the treated area without peeling it off the white paper on the back. Then use masking tape to mark the exact position of the film on the machine.

Step 5

Prepare a soapy solution that can be applied to correct the position of the film and successfully remove air bubbles from under it. Spray the liquid with a spray bottle, carefully covering every millimeter of the area.

Step 6

Spread the film on a flat, stable surface and peel back the backing. Be careful not to tuck the edges of the film or stick to each other when peeling off the film.

Step 7

Place the film on a car with soapy water. Roll it out from the middle to the outside with a rubber reel. At the same time, direct a stream of hot air onto the piece to be flattened. While drying and, at the same time, heating the matte film with a hairdryer, try not to overheat it so that it does not start melting.

Step 8

Do not rush to roll the entire film at once. First, work the part that runs along the central flat area, and then gently smooth the layer around the edges, taking into account the moldings and all complex elements.

Step 9

After the entire surface is covered with a film, dry it again with a hairdryer and after 15-20 minutes walk over it with a felt reel. Fold the edges and, heating with hot air, glue them.
