It would seem simple to choose molding for your car, but do not forget about the correctness of this choice. Casting differs not only in visual appearance, but also in parameters such as extension, width and diameter of the disc.
Instructions
Step 1
When choosing a molding for your car, first of all, you should familiarize yourself with the recommended parameters that the manufacturer offers for your chosen pet. Parameter indicators: "R" - casting diameter, "ET" - casting distance, "J" - casting width, "d" - central hole diameter.
Step 2
To begin with, from these parameters, pay attention to the diameter of the central hole - it is important that it is not less than the one recommended by the manufacturer.
Step 3
Next, we move on to the diameter of the rim. There is no fear of deviating from the diameter recommended by the factory, only it must be borne in mind that the larger the casting diameter you set yourself, the lower the height you put rubber on it so that the wheel will fit your car without interference. Note that the lower the height of the rubber, the greater the load on the suspension parts and the wheel rim itself. Thus, if you get into a "good" hole, the risk of bending the casting or damage to the suspension parts increases.
Step 4
Now we pass to the parameter "ET" - disk crash. It's not so simple as you might think initially! For 0, you need to take the average of the manufacturer's recommended parameters, i.e. if you are advised to put casting with an extension (35-45), then you should take the indicator 40 for 0, and any parameter above this number will indicate that the casting will go deep into the arch, and any indicator below this number, accordingly, will indicate that the casting will protrude from the arch. It is important to take into account that with a greatly overestimated casting rate, it can rest against the car support and the car will not move, and with a strongly underestimated one, it can protrude strongly and cling to the arch when driving, and when the wheel is completely inverted, cling to the arch protection - "fenders ".
Step 5
Now let's consider the parameter "J" - the width of the wheel rim. This parameter indicates how wide you will put rubber on it. For your information: wide tires provide increased stability on the road.
