If you have a summer cottage or bare land, you may need to independently cultivate the land for subsequent plantings. But digging up several acres of land with a shovel is not an easy task. It is better to work such areas with a tractor. If there is no such thing in the subsidiary farm, you can try to assemble it yourself.
Necessary
- power units:
- - engine;
- - checkpoint;
- - front and rear axles.
- Iron fittings:
- - corner;
- - pipes;
- - channel.
- Tractor equipment:
- - seat;
- - steering wheel;
- - wheels.
Instructions
Step 1
Weld (or bolt) the frame of the future tractor from the iron reinforcement. It shouldn't be long and wide. The frame can be welded from combined elements.
Step 2
On the resulting frame, secure the front and rear axles using metal brackets or welding.
Step 3
Install the engine and transmission to the frame. It is desirable to fix them on the so-called pillow. Place a crankcase underneath the engine to prevent the engine from clogging up with earth and sand.
Step 4
Find a place for the battery - closer to the starter. If the motor is not powerful, 50 amps is sufficient.
Step 5
If the gearbox is connected to the rear axle using a propeller shaft (as on rear wheel drive vehicles), the tractor speed will be too high and it will be difficult to drive it at the reduced speed required for arable work. To reduce speed and increase power in first gear, a reduction gear must be installed.
Step 6
Place the seat on the frame. Any seat can be used, from an old car, both single and double. Place the fuel tank under it. From the tank, start up a rubber tube that will go to the gas pump. He will distill fuel from the tank to the engine.
Step 7
Connect the front axle to the steering column with a propeller shaft.
Step 8
Install headlights, taillights, turn signals. The rear bumper can be fitted with a plow hitch. Put the wiring in the corrugation and fasten it along the frame. Install the fuse box and connect it.
Step 9
Above the engine, you need to design and install a protective box. It can also be just a tarpaulin cover that protects engine parts from water and dirt. But the best option would, of course, be a metal box, which will work like a hood.
Step 10
It is better to choose rubber with a herringbone tread - this way you will provide the tractor with better cross-country ability.
Step 11
Paint all metal elements of the body with waterproof paint.
